The captain assured guests that the issue only affects the ship's maximum speed and does not compromise safety. Because the ship must travel slower, scheduled stops in Sweden and Lithuania have been swapped for relaxing days at sea, while a visit to Poland was replaced with a scenic call to Rønne, Denmark. NCL is issuing $100 onboard credits and 25% future cruise credits to make up for the change.

The cruise line plans to quickly expand the practice to all Carnival ships visiting Amber Cove.
